The UT Administration has notified the policy regarding transfer of immovable property to the legal heirs/legatee(s) after death of the allottee/transferee in UT Chandigarh.
The transfer will be done in respect to categories, including transfer in the case of ‘Intestate Death’, transfer on the basis of ‘Registered Will’, transfer on the basis of ‘Un-registered Will’ and transfer on the basis of sale deeds . All applications for transfer will be uploaded by the UT Estate Office on its website alongwith the details of applicant(s) and property.The applicant(s) shall submit an affidavit saying that they have indicated the name and addresses of all legal heirs of the allottee/lessee, correctly, said a UT Administration’s spokesperson.
