UT Admin carries out raids on Chandigarh restaurants

In order to ensure effective implementation of Food Safety & Standards Act and Rules 2006, the UT Administration on Friday carried out inspection at various prominent restaurants and sweet shops in the city. A spokesperson of the UT Administration said that as per the directions of Sub Divisional Magistrate Danish Ashraf, a team is set up to continue the inspections. 

To check hygiene and quality standards as per the FSS Act 2006, the team conducted inspection at prominent restaurant in Sector 26 including AB’s Restaurant, Swagath Restaurant, Sankalp Restaurant, Oven Fresh, Sundarams Restaurant and Barbeque Nation Restaurant. Besides this, inspection was conducted at Chandigarh Sweets, Opposite Railway Station at village Daria, Aggarwal Sweets and Mahadev Sweets at village Daria here.
