National Secretary of the BJP, JP Nadda on Saturday attacked the UPA Government branding it as “mother, protector and promoter of corruption” in the country.
Addressing a news conference here, he said it was the paramount task of the BJP and other opposition parties to decimate the corrupt Congress misrule from the soil of the motherland and save the country which, at present, was standing of the brink of disaster.
The BJP leader alleged that the old, ailing and infirm UPA leadership led by Congress at the center seemed to have become immune to the spurt of scams bursting one after the other like volcanoes rocking the country. They seemed to be shamelessly unconcerned with the mess they had created, he alleged.
Nadda wondered why the resignations of the Railway and law minister were not sought by the Prime minister and the Congress President earlier and allowed the Parliament to be stalled entailing huge loss to the State exchequer. They were forced to do it after licking the dust, he added.
He said the people of the country had not only been disillusioned with the UPA rule, but also fed up with it. “Whenever a scam is unearthed all unabashed Congress leaders and spokespersons come out to defend the corrupt and the guilty and the corrupt persons”, he observed.
The BJP leader said the arbitrary Congress misrule had climaxed to such an extent that the BJP had decided to launch a nation-wide “Jail Bharo” agitation from May 27 to June 2.
The BJP workers all over the country would hold demonstrations and volunteer arrests after exposing mega-scams committed by various UPA/Congress leaders and blatant refusal by Government to hold enquiry into the alleged crimes and scandals.
