Under attack from BJP, CM to visit Kinnaur today

Under attack from opposition BJP for neglecting the people of Kinnaur at the time of natural disaster, Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh will be going to the district to take stock of the situation on Friday.

Chief Minister was himself stranded at Sangla of Kinnaur district for over 60 hours, when the incessant rain and flash floods struck the district and he himself had to travel in JCB machine to helipad from where he was airlifted to Mandi for campaigning in Mandi bye-poll for his wife Pratibha Singh contesting on Congress ticket.

State BJP Chief Satpal Singh Satti said that the Chief Minister is more concerned about his wife and her win in the bye-election but not concerned at all about the people of Kinnaur, whom he left back and got engaged in bye-poll campaigning.

“Chief Minister did not hold a single review meeting of senior officials or took stock of situation despite of being stranded over there in Kinnaur for over 60 hours,” said Satti adding that people of Kinnaur were devastated with the flood but Chief Minister did not said any word.

Satpal Singh Satti even alleged that disaster took place in Kinnaur and State capital is in Shimla but Chief Minister is holding a review meeting at Mandi and is even threatening the officials to work for the win of Congress candidate.

State BJP Chief even targeted the Chief Minister for misusing aviation fuel due to which Indian Air Force (IAF) choppers were grounded on Wednesday hampering the evacuation and relief operation but chopper carrying chief minister kept flying to different places in Mandi.
