In two different incidents of hit and run on Sunday, two people lost their lives after they were hit by rashly driven vehicles in two different locations. No arrests have taken place.
In the first incident on Sunday, Nishant Verma alias Nishu lost his life when he was hit by a rashly driven motorcycle at Sector 45-46 light point while he was crossing the road with his brother. The driver sped away from the spot.
In another incident, Avdhesh Kumar, resident of Colony-4 was hit by a rashly driven truck bearing Haryana registration number (5910) at Hallomajra light point. Avdhesh was later declared brought dead by doctors
in Hospital.
“The truck driver ran away leaving behind his truck on the spot after he hit the victim,” said Sukhdev Singh, posted as Investigating officer at PS Sector-31.
“A case against the accused has been registered under section 279, 337, 304-A of IPC. Further investigation is under progress,” added the Investigating officer.
