Nirmal Hospital in Yamuna Nagar was raided on Friday and two doctors arrested for violation of Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Act.
Mission Director National Rural Health Mission who is also Commissioner Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that FIR had been lodged against Dr Nirmal Singh, MD and Dr Anu, BAMS, owner of Nirmal Hospital located at Radaur Road in district Yamuna Nagar. He said that the raid was jointly conducted by health and Food and Drug Administration officials in the hospital, which is not Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act approved.
During the raid, for MTP disposable instruments were found out of which two were used. He informed that police team had also been called. Dr Nirmal Singh and Dr Anu ran away from the spot but later on both were arrested by the police.
