Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Rana KP Singh on Tuesday called upon the legislators of the state to rise above the party politics and work collectively to ensure the welfare of Punjab.
In his address on the concluding day of Special Orientation Program for Members of Punjab Vidhan Sabha here at MGSIPA, Rana KP Singh said that we are people's representatives and thus subject to scrutiny for 24 hours a day. "Our aim is not limited to serve our party alone, our ultimate goal is to work for the welfare of the state. Always keep in mind that our people are watching us and they are noticing what we are doing", said Rana KP.
Replying to the demand raised by legislators to call long assembly sessions in the future, Rana KP Singh assured that he would impress upon the government to call longer sessions in the future adding that legislators should ensure that they would utilise the precious time of house only for raising constructive issues
