The two-day Krishi Mela of Chaudhary Charan SinghHaryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU) concluded at Hisar on Wednesday. Over 46,000 farmers from Haryana and adjoining States of Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and UP attended the Mela and acquainted themselves with the latest techniques of farming. They also purchased improved seeds of ensuing Rabi season crops and vegetables. Director of Extension Education and Convener of Mela, Dr RS Antil said that the farmers purchased certified seeds of various Rabi crops as well as fruit saplings worth Rs79 lakh during both the days. Farm literature over Rs84,000 was also sold in the Mela.
