With toll plazas to begin fee collection from December 2 onwards, Haryana Government on Friday directed the deputy commissioners and toll plazas managers to ensure that the passengers do not face any inconvenience at the toll plazas.
Following demonetisation move, the Central Government had suspended fee collection at toll plazas till December 1 midnight.
Additional Chief Secretary, Excise and Taxation and Public Health Engineering Sanjeev Kaushal on Friday while reviewing the situation of tax recovery in Karnal district, directed the concerned officials to ensure all arrangements for the convenience of commuters at toll plazas.
Kaushal also directed the manager of toll plaza, Karnal to ensure that the passengers do not face any inconvenience at the toll. Besides, he directed Deputy Commissioner, Karnal, Mandeep Singh Brar to assist the staff of toll plaza for the same.
He claimed Haryana is way ahead of other states in terms of adopting e-billing, e-challan and computerization.
