Three members of a family were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a trolla on the Jhajjar-Rewari road near Silani village on Monday evening. The deceased have been identified as Hardeep, his wife Priyanka and son Yatin of Banipur village in Rewari district.
The incident took place when Hardeep along with his family members was returning to his native village from Jhajjar in a car. As they reached near Silani village, the car reportedly collided with a moving trolla coming from opposite direction. The accident was so horrible that the car got struck under the trolla. Consequently, Priyanka and Yatin reportedly died on the spot while Hardeep suffered serious injuries.
Hearing the sound of the accident, people working nearby areas rushed to the spot and tried to extricate the bodies from the car but failed to do so. The police then, on getting information, reached the spot and called JCB machine after taking stock of the situation. later, the bodies were extracted from the car with the help of JCB machine.
Hardeep was immediately taken to civil hospital where doctors declared him brought dead while the trolla driver managed to flee from the spot leaving the vehicle there after the accident. Two persons also sustained minor injuries in the accident as they were on their way on separate motor-bikes on the other side of the road when the accident occurred.
“We have, on Tuesday, handed over the bodies to their kin after getting their post-mortem done from civil hospital here. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the trolla driver in this regard,” said the police, adding that the driver would be nabbed soon.
