A 16 year old teenage girl committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling fan at her grandparent's residence in sector-50, on Tuesday.Sakshi Mohan, a student of Class 12 at a private school in Mohali, was found hanging in her room on Tuesday morning by her grandfather, Ram lal.
He informed police about the incident, who rushed her to GMCH sector-32 where doctors declared her brought dead. While investigation, police found a suicide note in which the girl blamed herself for the act but did not mention any reason for her suicide.
“Shakshi was living in her grandparent’s home in Chandigarh for last four year. Her mother works in a private company at Noida, while her father died four years ago,” said the grandfather of the deceased.
Meanwhile police has initiated investigation in the incident and further investigation will resume after the postmortem, said police officials.
