The Team Modi, a non-political organisation has now embarked upon a mission to endorse BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi across the country. And, to promote “Modi for PM” message, the Team Modi will distribute NaMo’s calendars, caps, T-shirts, stickers and dairies to its volunteers in the country.
The Team Modi has launched its campaign from Chandigarh on Friday and planned to gradually take it across the country. While addressing a Press conference here on Friday, Surinder Chauhan and Gurtej Pannu of Team Modi said that the team has been formed to drum up support for Modi. Already 10,000 volunteers had been enrolled for the campaign in Chandigarh under which they will be indulging in various activities to take Modi’s message to every youth in the country.
Gurtej Pannu said we have launched a helpline number 85913 89690 by which the supporters of Narendra Modi can connect with the team and a specific work will be allotted to them for 2014 lok Sabha elections. “Among the activities planned are poster campaigns by volunteers at vantage points in the city which will have a helpline number manned by the volunteers themselves to enlist more support. The volunteers will also go to each college and university where they will get forms filled by the students seeking their choice of Prime Ministerial candidate.
Those choosing Narendra Modi will be offered to enlist as a volunteer in ‘Team Modi’ and a specific work in the campaign will be assigned to the student,” he added. The volunteers will also carry Modi support stickers on their vehicles at all times to spread the Modi message to every nook and corner.
Maintaining that ‘Team Modi’ was not being backed by any political party, Gurtej said it was the desire of the youth volunteers to see Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of the country which had brought them together on this platform. Adding to this Surinder said that volunteers from all walks of society from doctors, lawyers, college students, professionals, girls, teachers are joining ‘Team Modi’ and are committed to work for Narendra Modi for the upcoming 2014 elections.
Surinder said 2014 elections will decide the destiny of India, we volunteers’ strongly believe that only Narendra Modi can take India forward. We will give Modi calendars, Caps, T-shirts, Dairies, etc to the volunteers of Team Modi.
