Haryana Congress President Ashok Tanwar on Monday addressed a series of meetings at Sirsa (Ding), Kalanwali (Gadrana, Baraguda), Dabwali (Odhan, Rania) and Ellenabad (Bhuratwala) Assembly segments questioning the silence of BJP on the ceasefire violations by Pakistan and China.
Attacking the ruling party at the Centre, Tanwar said BJP had promised to protect the nation from external as well as internal dangers but the continuous violations of ceasefire by Pakistan in Jammu & Kashmir has increased in last four months. He said BJP used to promise that they won’t allow any such actions but surprisingly now it was keeping silence on Article 370 and regular violations by the neighbors.
Tanwar condemned the cease fire violations in J&K by Pak infiltrators and army saying BJP always created issues when such violations happened during Congress rule but now all previous records of infiltrations have been broken.
Attacking BJP for it’s double speak on the issue of old age pension. he recalled that when Congress assumed power in Haryana, the Old age pension was at `200 per month and which has been increased upto `1,000. After forming Congress Government, the old age pension would be increased to `1,500 from November 1, he added.
The promise of BJP to increase pension to `2,000 is just an allure for the masses and BJP must first clarify, why it hasn’t started similar pension in BJP ruled States, he asked.
