Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring on Friday asked the state Director General of Punjab (DGP) Gaurav Yadav to take the threats allegedly being issued to slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s father, Balkaur Singh Sidhu, seriously. Reacting to threats issued to Balkaur Singh, Warring said: “Earlier due to the grave security and intelligence lapse, we lost the precious life of Sidhu Moosewala and we must be extra careful this time”. Punjab Congress president hoped that adequate security will be provided to the parents of late Moosewala and those responsible for issuing these threats are identified and brought to book. “It must not be free for all that anybody can threaten and kill anyone,” he said, urging the State Government to take strong preventive and deterrent measures as there is a sense of fear prevailing among people across Punjab.
