Surgical operation was necessitated to teach Pakistan a lesson: Badal

lauding the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian Army for successfully conducting surgical operation in Pak Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday said that this action was necessary to teach Pakistan a lesson for its anti-India moves.

Addressing the gathering during his visit to relief camp, Badal said that India had always been a votary of peace and communal harmony but Pakistan has always considered this stance of our country as its weakness.

“Successive Prime Ministers of India, including Atal Bihari Vajpayee and now Narendra Modi, have always worked for promoting ethos of peace and brotherhood but Pakistan always backstabbed India by its sinister moves. Therefore, the Central Government is forced to conduct the surgical operations as an apt reply to sinister moves of Pakistan,” he said.

Badal said that Modi’s “unprecedented, courageous, heroic and decisive act” hardly finds any parallel across the globe.

He reiterated that despite ongoing tension at Indo-Pak border, the agriculturalists were being allowed to harvest their produce at every cost.  “The state government would soon release the pending compensation of farmers having land across the border fence,” he said.
