Sukhbir takes potshots at AAP, slams Kejriwal

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Thursday minced no words to label the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as “hastily assembled leaders with misguided and aimless missiles”.

Sukhbir, while interacting with media-persons during the commencement of his two-day sangat darshan, took pot-shots at AAP.

Castigating AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Sukhbir said that Kejriwal backstabbed the people of Punjab when on his visit to the State he ranted against construction of SYl but the moment he got back to his citadel in Delhi, he started singing peons in favour of SYl construction.

“The people of Delhi are feeling cheated by Kejriwal as he had promised moon to them but is now unable to ameliorate their lot…AAP is fast losing ground in Delhi which is crystal clear from its defeat in the municipal corporation elections,” said Sukhbir.

Also taking on the Congress, Sukhbir said that Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh is a frustrated man as his dream of holding the reins of the state was shattered twice in 2007 and 2012.

“He would meet a similar fate in 2017 too,” said Sukhbir while daring Capt Amarinder to showcase even a single development centric project or the initiative undertaken by him during his tenure.
