Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Wednesday claimed that Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party would witness record victory in the Delhi assembly elections as Congress has already lost its ground and Aam Aadmi Party illusion faded with the time.
“The alliance between SAD and BJP has strengthened communal harmony in the State and people’s confidence in the development oriented policies of alliance would keep it in power for next 25 years,” said Sukhbir while replying to a media query after laying foundation stones of a number of development works worth Rs47 crore in his constituency. Sukhbir said that after losing its political ground, “now Congress is trying its best to create an image that alliance is going through tough times”.
“Delhi polls would soon clear these clouds as alliance is all set to register record victory in this poll,” he said. Sukhbir, while reacting to People’s Party of Punjab president Manpreet Badal’s statements regarding SAD running away from facing NRIs, Sukhbir said that he was not more than a paper tiger now.
