Sukhbir: Capt welcomed Indira Gandhi to loot river waters of Punjab

Castigating Congress for inflicting atrocities on Punjab, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Friday said that it was the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who laid the foundation stone of SYl and Capt Amarinder Singh welcomed her on the occasion to loot river waters of Punjab.

It is the SAD, second oldest party of the nation, which always stood up and fought for the rights of Punjab, he said while addressing a rally near Jhaneri village.

Sukhbir said the Punjab Government has unleashed an era of development and keeping in view, the electorates have make up their mind to elect the SAD-BJP again in the State.

“The electorates of Punjab would reject the Congress and AAP keeping in view the record achievements of SAD-BJP Government and the coalition will form Government for the third time,” he said.

Cautioning the people not to mislead the false propaganda of novice outfits like AAP, he said that the MP representing this district is habitual of taking intoxicants and even his party MP had complained to the lok Sabha Speaker about the “foul smell” emitting from this MPs’ side.

He advised people to judge a candidate from the extent of development done in the constituency. Terming SAD-BJP government as the saviours of river waters of Punjab, he made it absolutely clear that the state has not even a single drop to spare for other States.

He divulged that the Cabinet has already de-notified the SYl canal land and the Punjab Vidhan Sabha has also unanimously passed resolution with directions to the Government, administration and employees neither to cooperate nor to help any agency in the construction of the canal.
