Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul on Wednesday stressed on the need to make the school children aware of their legal rights and duties in order to bring about constructive development in the society.
“It is the need of the hour that besides academic study, the students must be made aware about their legal rights and duties so they could play proactive role for making a healthy society,” said the Chief Justice Kaul while delivering message to the students of Class XI and XII studying through EDUSET system of Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). Chief Justice Kaul, who is also the patron-in-chief of Punjab State legal Services Authority, added that the person who did
not know their legal rights could easily be manipulated and deprived from their democratic and legal rights. “The future of our country rested on the shoulder of youth, any society which engage the orient the energy of the youth in the constructive activities could achieve the high goals of overall development,” added Chief Justice Kaul.
