Students' fears allayed on GRE

Good  reading comprehension skills and a strong foundation in Maths are the secrets to score high on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), a  prerequisite for  admission to  top American  universities.

This was the crux of a free workshop on GRE organised by TCY at its BRS Nagar centre here in which a large number of students from

ludhiana attended.  It was an interactive session where students were made aware of the GRE exam pattern (both Verbal and Quant).

“In this workshop, we offered strategies reinforced with practice questions to students through an interactive session. As most of the students in this region are worried about their vocabulary, we allayed their fears by working on this aspect,” said a TCY expert who conducted this workshop.

Interestingly, although majority of the students opting for GRE hail from engineering and science backgrounds, they still are not able to get a perfect score in the GRE Quant section, according to experts who feel that GRE Quant portion requires them to apply what all they have learnt in their graduate programmes.
