STF set up to eradicate drug menace in Hry

To eradicate drug menace from the State, Haryana Government would set up the Special Task  Force (STF), and also Haryana Bureau of Narcotics in the State.

The directions have been given in this regard, said the state Home Minister Anil Vij on Sunday while speaking as the chief guest at the civic reception organized under the leadership of local MLA Aseem Goel in New Grain Market in Ambala city.

He said that on the similar lines of the penalty being imposed in mining cases, the State Government is in the process of making a similar provision for the vehicles which will get arrested in the smuggling cases.

Under this provision, the violators arrested for smuggling can get their vehicles released after paying half the amount of the vehicle as fine, he added.

Vij said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Lal, all ministers and MLAs are working vigorously towards taking the State forward on the development track.

He said that BJP's vote percentage has already increased in the Haryana Assembly elections, from 30 percent vote to 36 percent.

Vij said that more reforms will be brought in the Home Department as well as the Urban Local Bodies Department.

Talking about the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, he said that the Congress and other opposition parties are engaged in misleading the countrymen by “lying” about the Act and are hence disturbing the peace of the country.
