The State-level Republic Day Celebration of Punjab would be held at Patiala where the Governor Shivraj Patil would unfurl the national flag and take the salute on January 26.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would unfurl the flag at ludhiana while Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal would unfurl the flag at Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali). Charnjit Singh Atwal, Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha would unfurl the flag at Fatehgarh Sahib.
A spokesman of the Punjab Government said that Cabinet Minister Chuni lal Bhagat will unfurl the flag at Amritsar, Sarwan Singh Philour at Jalandhar, Ajit Singh Kohar at Kapurthala, Gulzar Singh Ranike at Tarn Taran, Madan Mohan Mittal at Hoshiarpur, Parminder Singh Dhindsa at Sangrur, Janmeja Singh Sekhon at Firozpur, Surjit Kumar Jiyani at Fazilka, Bikram Singh Majithia at Roop Nagar (Ropar), Sikandar Singh Malooka at Bathinda, Anil Joshi at Gurdaspur, Surjit Singh Rakhra at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Nawan Sher) and Sharnjit Singh Dhillon would unfurl the flag at Barnala.
