Aiming to win the 75 plus seats in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is organising meetings and public gathering at division level of each assembly constituency under its ongoing membership drive across the state, said BJP State president Subhash Barala, adding only winnable candidates will be given ticket in the assembly election.

Barala addressed public meetings at Shahabad division, Dhural division and Nalvi division of Shahabad assembly constituency, accompanying with Krishan Kumar Bedi, Haryana minister of state for Social Justice and Empowerment; BJP State media co- chief Randeep Dhandhas and BJP Kurukshetra district president Dharamveer Mirjapur on Tuesday.

While addressing the public gathering, Barala said that BJP members are working for the betterment of the society and the nation.

They do not work for power and personal benefit. Members of other parties would have become arrogant, had they secured absolute majority in the assembly, he said, adding BJP workers never get distracted and all of them from booth level representatives to national president are working selflessly for strengthening the party as well as for the welfare of the common people. So a strong BJP, a strong India, the slogan is also given by the BJP, there is no such thinking of any other political parties.

The State president further said that BJP led-government has done work by keeping common people in mind. BJP government in the state has adopted public welfare model which are being discussed all over the country after the Gujarat model.

State’s achievement on schemes like Ayushman scheme of health department, ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ and others are also being discussed all over the country.

“All the welfare schemes are being benefited by all the sections of the society including labourers and traders without any bias,” he said, adding to strengthen the party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started membership drive from Banaras while party national vice-president and convenor of the BJP membership drive from Gurugram of Harayana state.

BJP’s membership drive has been intensified and done actively across the country. Along with membership drive, people are being encouraged to plant saplings to protect the environment. Booth level volunteers are being encouraged to plant at least five saplings.

Barala further said that to seek people’s blessings, the State Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar would start yatra across the state from August 15. People of the state had blessed the party in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. “We have set the target of winning 75 plus seats in the upcoming assembly elections and our strategy is to give ticket to those candidates who are capable of winning the election,” he added.

Barala, while targeting the former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, said that Hooda gives statement, sitting in Chandigarh but we are working on the ground for the welfare of the people.

In his address, Haryana minister of state for Social Justice and Empowerment Bedi said that to secure 75 plus seats, all the party members will have to work hard equally. “People are with the BJP and we will go to the people with party’s principles.

All the party members should actively work to strengthen party by increasing its membership,” minister added.
