Now villages in Haryana will get star rating on the basis of their social index.
Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Om Prakash Dhankar, who was redressing the grievances of people in district Jhajjar on Saturday said that urbanisation of five villages each from every assembly constituency in the state would be carried out under Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Scheme. He said that Rs 2.5 crore each would be given to panchayat samitis for development works and grant of Rs 10 crore each would be given to Zila Parishads. Apart from this, funds up to Rs 3 lakh each would be given to all gram panchayats for recurring expenses.
