Director General, Haryana Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Sameer Pal Srow on Friday directed the officers to work actively towards publicising the welfare policies of the State Government so as to make people aware about their benefits and it percolate down to the grass-root level.
Presiding over the review meeting of the department at Panchkula, Srow also reviewed the departmental works and directed the officers to complete them in a time bound manner.
He said that special publicity campaign should be launched about the policies and schemes of the government so that people of the state could get information about welfare schemes and policies of the government.
Srow said maximum use of media such as electronic, print and folk besides social media should be utilised during this campaign to highlight the welfare programmes and policies for the benefit of people.
"Farmers have been made aware about not to burn crop residue and use of modern agricultural equipment through publicty campaigns," he said, adding that a state level workshop of bhajan parties would be organised in the next month and publicity would be carried out
through the songs composed by them.
