Sidhu raises 'action against Majithia' topic, Minister said not a topic for today's meet

Once against raising the pitch for “action against Majithia, Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu was let down by some of his Cabinet colleagues on the issue during the emergency Cabinet Meeting.

Sidhu, who has been practically leading the party’s campaign to demand action against the SAD leader Bikram Majithia for his alleged involvement in the drugs case, also raised the issue during the Cabinet meeting.

Sidhu requested the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder to initiate action against Majithia and other “big fish” of drug trade on the basis of the report submitted by the Government’s STF on drugs.

Even as the Chief Minister kept mum, some of the Cabinet Ministers intervened to rescue Capt Amarinder by pointing that Majithia was not the “issue to be discussed” in today’s meeting.
