To provide better employment opportunities to the youth of Punjab, the State Government has decided to start new short term courses of skill development and entrepreneurship.
Confirming the development, the state Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday said that along with the commencement of new short-term courses, the State Government has also focused to pave the way of unemployed Punjabi youth for better placements on national and international levels.
The announcement came after the Minister held a meeting with the Additional Secretary of Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajni Sekhri Sibal to explore the chances of employment under new skill development schemes in his office.
Sibal briefed the Minister about new short-term courses to help in skilling youth, providing jobs in India and abroad.
