After the high profile incident, in which former SP Desraj Singh, was accused of corruption and suspended, another SHO on Thursday, complained against a lady DSP charging her of corruption.

A complaint in this regard was sent to the IGP on a group of social networking application, Whatsapp, on Thursday.

The complainant, Yashpal, posted as SHO in Industrial Area, sent a message on a group of UT police on Whatsapp, addressing R P Upadhyaya, IGP of UT police, that the Deputy Superintendent of Police (east) Anjitha Chepyala was asking for money again and again.

The SHO claimed he had had spent Rs 5.85 lakh on different demands of the DSP which she forced upon him including an air ticket, renovation of her house and also installation of an air conditioner.

As soon as the message was delivered on the group, the DSP immediately replied and denied all the charges against her and said that she was ready for any kind of inquiry.

Sukhchain Singh Gill, SSP, forwarded the message to the IGP on another Whatsapp group which is headed by the IGP himself and has both the SSP’s Sukhchain Singh Gill and Maneesh Chaudhry as its members.
