BJP national president Amit Shah on Thursday credited the Modi Government at the Centre and the Manohar lal Khattar Government in Haryana for ensuring a corruption-free governance and equal development for all.
“Haryana has got an honest and transparent Government led by Chief Minister Khattar after a long time,” said Shah while addressing the party’s 'Yuva Hunkar Rally' at Pandu Pindara village in Jind district.
Slamming the opposition parties, Shah said Haryana was infamous for rampant corruption and maladministration in the tenure of previous governments but the BJP regime, headed by Khattar, provided a corruption-free and transparent Government.
Attacking Congress, he said their leaders would say we could not give so much financial assistance to states, how could BJP manageIJ
While the Congress used to give funds to their cronies, the BJP gives to all states for development, added he.
In a veiled attack on Indian National lok Dal, the BJP chief said, “In Haryana, Chief Ministers have gone to jail for corruption and here is Chief Minister Khattar against whom not even a single charge of corruption has been leveled.”
INlD’s chief OP Chautala along with his son Ajay Chautala is currently serving 10-year jail sentence after being convicted, in teacher recruitment scam in Haryana.
Amit Shah also sounded the poll bugle for party’s ‘Mission 2019’ and asked the party workers to not leave any stone unturned in ensuring all 10 seats in Haryana to the BJP in next general elections.
Earlier, the Chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues and party legislators had arrived at the rally venue on motorcycles.
The rally was organized in Jind, considered to be the nerve centre of Haryana politics.
Thousands of security personnel, including Haryana Police and para-military forces, kept a strict watch at the rally venue, areas surrounding it and Jind district and nearby areas.
Heavy security arrangements were also in place across Hisar, Sirsa and Fatehabad in Haryana on Thursday ahead of Shah’s rally in Jind.
