Seven people were feared killed near Dwada on Mandi-Manali Highway when their Innova car slipped and fell down in river Beas late on Wednesday.
Out of the eight occupants, seven were drowned in river Beas while one had a narrow escape and survived the tragic incident. He was the one who alarmed about the incident to police. The police and administration jumped into action immediately and started the rescue operation in the night.
The Innova car was pulled out of the river around 2 am on Thursday. One of the deceased was found trapped inside the mangled vehicle.
