Haryana Government will soon come out with a new Industrial policy for the State, for which the Managing Director of Haryana State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) Vineet Garg had an interactive session with the representatives of Industrial Associations in Gurgaon on Saturday.
The Managing Director heard suggestions of various industrial associations which had come from IMT Bawal, Narnaul, IMT Manesar apart from the Udyog Vihar Association in Gurgaon. After hearing the suggestions, he said that most of the suggestions which came on Saturday were related to Estate Management Procedure (EMP), for which the state government has already constituted an internal committee to study the existing EMP and give recommendations to improve it.
He assured to give relaxations to the entrepreneurs in the EMP where ever possible after studying the present module. At the same time, Garg asked the industrial associations to send their valuable but concrete specific suggestions for formulation of a new industrial policy so that the new policy is more Industry friendly. He said, “We don’t want to burden you unnecessarily, so give concrete suggestions.” Garg appreciated the suggestion that the approval for water supply connection should be given alongwith the approval of Building Plan and there is no need to move a separate file for this. Similarly, the Sewage Connection approval should be given alongwith the Completion Certificate.
He said that construction of 192 single units and 70 dormitories was in progress in IMT Manesar, out of which some have already been allotted. The industrial associations also suggested to make provision of a government hospital in every Industrial Township so that the labourers got proper treatment facilities or the HSIIDC may allow construction of a dispensary in every sector of IMT. They also requested that the Estate Management Procedure should be common in all Government agencies.
Another suggestion came that there should be standardisation of rules in all departments and the entrepreneur need not have to pursue various departments for getting NOCs. It was suggested to empower O&M Committees and also that there should be no requirement of Factory license in the Industrial area declared by the Government.
