The State Election Commission of Himachal Pradesh on Friday directed for the delimitation and reservation of wards of the municipalities in Himachal Pradesh. The Commission has also released the schedule for undertaking this process. A spokesman of the Commission said that the draft proposal of the delimitation of wards will be published on September 19. Filing of suggestions or objections on the draft proposal by the residents of concerned Municipal areas before the Deputy Commissioner concerned can be done upto September 29. The disposal of suggestions or objections by the respective DC will be done within ten days from the filing of suggestions or objections whereas the filing of appeals by the aggrieved person before the concerned Divisional Commissioner can be done within ten days from the disposal of suggestions or objections.
Final orders of delimitation of wards by concerned Deputy Commissioner will be done on or before 29th October. The reservation of wards for members will be made upto November 4.
