Former Chandigarh MP and BJP national chairman of the Committee on legal and Election Commission issues, Satya Pal Jain met party’s prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and apprised him about the political scenario in the city.

During the meeting held on Saturday in Gandhinagar, Jain also sought guidance from Modi about the working of National Committee on legal and Election Commission issues.

Jain informed Modi about the victory of BJP’s candidate Heera Negi and Davesh Moudgil as senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor, respectively, of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh in the election held on January 1.

He also reminded Modi that the first elections to the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh were held in 1996, when Modi was the in-charge of BJP Chandigarh and Jain was the local MP, in which BJP-SAD alliance won 15 out of 20 seats.

Jain also discussed the political scenario of Chandigarh, and brought the latest political situation to his notice. Jain assured Modi that this time, the BJP will certainly wrest the Chandigarh lok Sabha seat from Congress.
