Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Monday said the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31 will be celebrated in a befitting manner in all schools and colleges of the State.
Besides, ‘Rashtriya Ekta Saptah’ would be observed by organising various programmes throughout the week, said the Minister. He said that while the ‘Run For Unity’ would be organised in all government and private schools and colleges of Haryana on October 31, the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Saptah’ would be observed from October 31 to November 6.
Sharma said activities such as declamation contests, seminars, debate, essay writing, slogan and poster making competitions, drama, music and ‘nukkad nataks’ would be organised in schools and colleges during ‘Rashtriya Ekta Saptah’. He added members of Gram Panchayats and Municipalities, school management committees, NCC and NSS units, Scouts and Guides, sportspersons and other social organisations would also be involved in these events.
