Marking the April Fool’s Day in a unique way, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) worker on Sunday distributed dummy ‘plastic’ smartphones and fake currency in the name of Punjab Government.
SAD workers said that they want to remind Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh that he has fooled the people of Punjab. ‘Free smart phones’ to the state’s youth besides providing unemployment allowance were among the numerous promises made by Capt Amarinder during his election campaign.
“Till now, neither any youngster got a job nor the unemployed youth received any allowance,” said SAD’s Parsi Wing head Mahesh Verma adding that they wanted to remind the Chief Minister as it is believed he has forgotten his promises.
