Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Friday announced that it would register a case against the Congress party if its Government failed to waive the farm loan, as promised in its election manifesto.
“SAD will not be silent spectator and allow it to cheat the farmers…we will lodge FIR against the party in this regard,” said SAD MP Prem Singh Chandumajra.
“Congress party has made written commitment with the lakhs of farmers of the state to waive their loans by filling the forms before elections under the party’s ‘Karja Kurki Khatam’ programme…SAD will wait till the report of Commission set up in this regard and its implementation,” he said.
He said that two months performance of Capt Amarinder Singh government has been very poor and people feel like cheated. “Gangs are operating openly causing great threat to communal harmony and hard earned peace by the Badal government,” he said.
Chandumajra said that Government has no vision and from its actions, it looks it will not be able to fulfill any promise.
He said that if Capt Amarinder is talking about bringing about white paper on economy, he must bring white paper on development projects of Badal Government.
