Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has decided to observe Ardas Divas at the five Sikh Takhts (temporal seats) to seek justice for the families of 1984 victims who were “brutally killed in mob violence perpetuated by the Congress party and its goons in Delhi as well as parts of the country”.

Besides, the party would hold a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on November 3 for the same.

Announcing this, SAD vice-president and the former Minister Daljit Singh Cheema said that the party leadership, along with the workers, would participate in large numbers at the Ardas Divas samagam being observed on November 1 at all Sikh takhts simultaneously.

Cheema said that the decision was taken by the core committee in its late night meeting held under the chairmanship of the party patron Parkash Singh Badal and SAD president Sukhbir Badal.
