SAD to hold second Hry rally at Ratia on Dec 2

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will hold its second rally in Haryana, after the success of its Pipli rally in August, at Ratia in Fatehabad district on December 2.

The decision was taken following a meeting of senior leaders including Punjab’s former Minister Sikander Singh Maluka and party Haryana unit president Sharanjit Singh Sotha, which was presided over by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal, said the party Haryana in-charge Balwinder Singh Bhundur on Friday.

Bhundur said that December 2 rally would cover the districts of Fatehabad, Sirsa, Hisar and Jind and was part of the party’s efforts to strengthen the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Haryana unit.

He said that this was being done as a part of party’s decision to contest the forthcoming assembly elections on its own.

The senior Akali leader said that the party had also drawn up a schedule for holding meetings in Fatehabad and Sirsa which would be addressed by Maluka, Jind by Surjit Singh Rakhra and Hisar by Parminder Singh Dhindsa in the next month to make December 2 rally a resounding success.
