SAD on Wednesday stated that the Congress national president Rahul Gandhi’s Bargari visit is the saddest day in the history of Sikh religion as the perpetrator of genocide and demolishing of Akal Takht has come wearing a mask of “falsehood” portraying sympathy.

SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia and Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Rahul Gandhi is the grandson of Indira Gandhi who attacked Darbar Sahib and demolished the Akal Takht while killing thousands of Sikhs in operation blue star in 1984.

“The cruelty of her decision can be gauged that she ordered the army to attack the Golden Temple on the martyrdom day when thousands of pilgrims had come to pay their respects,” they said adding that the tragedy for the Sikh religion had a script written by her son Rajiv Gandhi also.

“Rajiv Gandhi lashed out his goons to commit the heinous genocide against the Sikhs. Today, Rahul Gandhi has the audacity to come calling on the state sponsored jathebandi at Bargari to show his solidarity,” they rued.
