Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Tuesday lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against former Punjab Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Rajinder Kaur Bhattal for allegedly using foul and derogatory language for its candidate Prem Singh Chandumajra from Anandpur Sahib.
“Bhattal has used unfounded and extremely derogatory remarks against Chandumajra, who is also party General Secretary and esteemed leader having mass following and respect among the people,” stated secretary and SAD spokesperson Daljit Singh Cheema in his complaint to the EC.
Cheema, in his complaint, has alleged that party MlA from lehragaga Bhattal, while addressing a rally in favour of Congress party, had used words which are highly condemnable.
