SAD-BJP to form Govt in Delhi: Sukhbir

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal is fully geared up for the “political Kabaddi” during the big electoral match in the national Capital. Confident enough to declare clean sweep on all four seats SAD is contesting in coalition with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sukhbir on Tuesday said that the next Government in Delhi would be formed by the SAD-BJP alliance.

“SAD-BJP is all set to form the Government in Delhi and the entire rank and file of the SAD is campaigning in Delhi for the ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections,” said Sukhbir, while talking to the media persons during a Pres conference announcing programme for the World Cup Kabaddi, 2013. Maintaining that SAD-BJP has a “strong bond”, Sukhbir said that there was no dispute between the two parties and the SAD would be the strongest votary of the BJP in the national political scenario.

He said that the party was in “direct contest with the Congress in Delhi elections”, and there was so much anger in the minds of the people against the Congress that it is bound to lose the assembly elections in Delhi, and other States also. Referring to the decision of the Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa in appointing himself as star campaigner for Delhi elections, Sukhbir said that it only reflected his own insecurity especially in the midst of “high profile” Congress leadership in Delhi.
