SAD-BJP Government pro-active in implementing schemes: Deputy CM

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Friday asserted that the SAD-BJP Government has always adopted pro-active approach to formulate as well as aggressively implement various schemes and projects.

“This would ensure that the rapid pace of all round progress of the state is maintained and it occupies numero uno rank amongst all the other states in terms of technological, economical and infrastructural sphere,” said Sukhbir on the concluding day of his two-day sangat darshan programme at Tanda.

He said that the multitude of various people-friendly initiatives promulgated by the SAD-BJP government in Punjab have transformed the lives of every section of the society in the state for the better in comparison to the previous corrupt regime of Congress.

listing out health insurance for farmers and traders, free power up to 200 units to every SC household, bicycles for school going girls under Mai Bhago scheme, free power to farming sector, Mukh Mantri Tirath Darshan Yatra, sewerage and water supply in all the grain markets of the state, four-six laning of road networks and international airports at Mohali, Bathinda and Adampur, Sukhbir elaborated that with these innovations and all-encompassing measures, Punjab has arrived as a major player at the world stage.

launching a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Sukhbir said that this anti-Punjab and anti-Sikh outfit is going all guns blazing to disrupt the atmosphere of communal amity in the state through its virulent anti-state propaganda. “AAP is getting funds from foreign shores,” he said.

Describing AAP as a party of political novices, he said that the allegations levelled by AAP on the Chief Parliamentary Secretaries’ (CPS) posts in Punjab makes it clear cut that it has no knowledge about the functioning of the polity, structure and government in Punjab.

Raising doubts at the capability of Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh, Sukhbir said that it is laughable that a person, who is facing revolt from the members of his own party and is not at all acceptable to them as their leader, is day dreaming about becoming Chief Minister of Punjab.
