All Secretaries of Regional Transport Authorities (RTAs) in Haryana have been directed to ensure at the time of grant of fitness certificate that High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) are affixed on the vehicles and no fitness certificate  is issued for any vehicle unless the HSRP is affixed.

A spokesman of Transport Department reminded that the Department had already notified that vehicles operating without HSRPs  would be challaned with effect from January 1,2016.

He said that all Regional Transportation Authorities get the vehicle photographed at the time of inspection for issuing fitness certificates. These photographs of vehicles would also capture the number plate of the vehicle and in case, any vehicle is without HSRP, itwould not be granted fitness certificate. The spokesman said that affixation of HSRP would also be ensured at the time of renewal of the permit. He said that all the RTA offices would maintain a proper daily record of the number of receipts issued for affixation of HSRPs in all Regional Authority (RA) offices in the districts and the number of HSRPs affixed.

Weekly report would also be sent to the office of Transport Commissioner and Secretary, Transport Department, he added.
