Keeping focus on Youth, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has started youth oriented membership drive throughout the country.
After his return from the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) meeting held in Kochi (Kerala), Kishore Kant, Punjab Prant Pracharak of RSS, said that Youth is extremely important for any country and hence, a special membership drive has been started for youth.
“More than 4,000 youth have been associating with us every month and these numbers are increasing by the day”, Kant said while addressing a press conference here.
“To continue this special campaign of connecting with Youth, we have started several initiatives, including online membership drive, special awareness campaigns in schools, colleges and other institutions etc,” Kant said.
He claimed that the response of online membership drive through ‘Join RSS’ on website http://www.rss.org was very good. “For the youth, we have flexible timings as they can attend weekly workshops instead of daily workshops. Most of them can’t find time every day for shakhas (RSS workshops).
We have also replaced leather belts with nylon belts to make them more comfortable with attractive and durable look, he added.
While talking on the ABKM in Kochi, Kant said that through its resolution, Sangh has drawn the attention of the Central Government and State Governments regarding the condition of our international borders and growing Jehadi radicalisation in southern States of the country.
“Bharat shares borders with eight countries but Tibet Borders are the most neglected. Chinese military personnel are posing one problem after the other,” he said.
Referring to the borders with Pakistan, the RSS functionary said the residents of border areas of Jammu and Kashmir are forced to migrate due to continuous shelling from Pakistan Army.
Kant said ABKM adopted resolution in which seriousness of Jehadi terrorism in Northern and Eastern parts of the country was highlighted.
He said after the ban on SIMI, the emergence of Popular Front of India (PFI), Karnataka for Dignity (KFD), Manitha Neethi Pasarai (MNP) in
Tamil Nadu and National Development Front (NDF) in Kerala are purportedly aiming at promotion of democracy and social justice but they are a camouflage to perpetuate hardline ideologies.
“These organisations give weapons training and also provide weapons to the Muslim youths. These facts have
been confirmed by Kerala Government before the State high court,” added Kant.
