Demanding strict action against those involved in the incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib, the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat on Thursday submitted a memorandum to the Punjab Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki.
The organisation, branch of the main Rashrtiya Swayamsevak Sangh, demanded that the ambit of investigating body should be increased so as to include role of police administration in the episode.
Punjab president of organization Gurbachan Singh Mokha said that the episodes of repeated sacrilege “smell of conspiracy”, and demanded strict action against those involved.
The organisation has requested the Governor to get a secret investigation conducted to trace handiwork of foreign powers and anti-Punjab element, if any, who are trying to dislodge the hard earned peace and harmony of State.
