The World Bank has sanctioned Rs316 crore for the Himachal Pradesh Forest Eco-Systems Climate Proofing Project, which will be implemented in Kangra and Chamba districts. State Forest Development Corporation vice chairman Kewal Singh Pathania said the project would not only provide self-employment opportunities to women and youths, it would also help in protecting the green cover.
