Addressing the state level function of Maharishi Bhagirath Jayanti Samaroh organized at Fatehabad, Khattar said that the State Government has started several welfare schemes for poor families, for which they have to pay a nominal premium. But many times, the poor family is unable to pay the premium due to which they do not get the benefit of the schemes.

"The government is going to start a new scheme under which Rs 6,000 per annum will be deposited in the bank accounts of families with annual income up to Rs 1.80 lakh so that premium of insurance schemes of Rs 12 and Rs 330 per annum, pension scheme and crop insurance will be paid automatically from the bank accounts of the needy families." he said.

On this occasion, he made several new announcements for the Odh Samaj. The Chief Minister also announced to name the Ashok Nagar Chowk in Fatehabad after Maharishi Bhagirath. He also announced to build Odh Bhavan in three villages.

The Chief Minister said that this is the first government which is providing Rs 7500 to 9000 monthly under Saksham Yojana to youths, who do not get employment after completing education. Similarly, Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000 are being provided to school students under the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme. Rs 51,000 are being given under the Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojana for the marriage of the daughter of a Scheduled Caste family.

The Chief Minister said that pucca roads, sheds, water management and boundary walls are being made for all the cremation grounds and graveyards in the state at a cost of Rs 748 crore. The work has also been completed up to 70-80 per cent.

The Chief Minister said, “Haryana was infamous due to low birth rate of daughters. The government launched Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign, due to which the number of girls born per thousand boys has increased from 850 to 933. We have to take this number to 1000”.

BJP State President and MLA Tohana, Subhash Barala said the government had fulfilled all the expectations with which the people had given the BJP a chance to form the government in 2014. “In the next term, we will work more strongly and make the state prosperous”, he added.
