SAS Nagar: Punjab Government has provided Rs 1.27 crore as financial aid from the Chief Minister Cancer Relief Fund to as many as 85 cancer patients in SAS Nagar, with 30 more such patients to soon get Rs 45 lakh for their treatment.
SAS Nagar Deputy Commissioner Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that the state government has been providing Rs 1.5 lakh financial aid to each cancer patient in the state from the CM Cancer Relief Fund to get quality treatment from the hospital of their choice. He informed till now 115 applications had been received in the district for financial aid.
