A doctor in Rewari caught red-handed while conducting a sex determination test which has been banned throughout the country was on Saturday. A team comprising of Health Department’s Food and Drug Administration raided Dr Subhash Sethi’s Hospital on Bawal road.
He was caught red handed during the case of Sex determination. Deputy Civil Surgeon, Rewari and Drug Control Officer created a shadow witness by giving Rs 4,000 to him. Shadow witness went to the doctor with a decoy patient who was five months pregnant lady. Dr Sethi an MBBS in ultrasound, did the ultrasound of the lady and send her outside the room. The shadow witness was inside the room with the doctor and the deal was done for Rs 4,000 with the doctor. The Doctor told him that the lady is going to give birth to a boy. Currency given to the doctor was signed by Drug Control Officer. Team of Health Department and Food and Drug Administration was present in Sethi Hospital with 2 police constables. They went inside the room and caught the doctor red handed. Doctor was having the currency and form F in his pocket which was not completely filled. Noted currency notes was recovered from the doctor. Entry of the Form F was not done in the register of the hospital. Form F, Currency and Ultrasound machine was sealed by the team on the spot.
