Return of black money a priority of NDA: Sukhbir

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Wednesday said that bringing back ‘black money’, stashed in Swiss Banks, would be the priority of National Democratic Alliance (NDA), immediately after coming to power in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

Blowing the bugle for 2014 lok Sabha elections, Sukhbir gave a clarion call to the electorate to oust world’s ‘most corrupt’ Congress-led UPA Government asserting that he was certain the UPA would face a massive defeat in 2014. Sukhbir, talking to media persons after addressing SAD-BJP workers, also ridiculed the information given by Union Finance Minister that investigations regarding ‘black money’ were still being conducted.

“This assertion is surprising…Once the NDA government came, black money stashed abroad would be brought back into the country immediately,” he added. Holding the UPA Government responsible for country’s economic slowdown, he said that despite Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, a world renowned economist, the UPA’s economic policies had fallen flat and the country had to suffer economic crisis and inflation.

“Inflation ratio has reached 18.18 per cent, which also proved that this so called government of aam aadmi is actually anti-people and a pro-MNC Government,” said Sukhbir. Describing BJP’s Prime Ministerial Narendra Modi as a “matchless political figure”, Sukhbir thanked electorate for reposing their faith in development-oriented State Governments by giving them repeated terms in Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat respectively.
